this week about the situation that's playing out in Maine, one that has attracted the attention across

the country of numerous people who are concerned about the reports that they have heard regarding

Graham Platner, the likely nominee in that Maine Senate race, which is critical for Democratic

hopes to take back the body from Republicans this fall.

Even with the blue wave that is supposed to be behind them, one that is likely to elevate them to being able to take the House even narrowly after the redistricting fights have played

out, the situation in the Senate is much closer.

And it's one where essentially if they are unable to knock off incumbent Senator Susan Collins, who has made winning in Maine her professional experience, that's going to be something that's a very hard road for Democrats to travel.

They still have hopes to win in North Carolina and to perhaps take the Ohio Senate seat.

They have strong hopes in Texas where they're going to spend a ton of money, though I still

am skeptical that they can actually deliver there.

But Maine is critical for all of their plans.
