Oh my god. Like, if the magic isn't there, I can't fuck with it, even if it's me, even if it's me, and I just like, while I was doing it, I was like, this is trash.

But the reason I couldn't, like, get it to pop off and have it be that, you know, that thing where you listen to the podcast and like, there's that moment where you, like, get, you know, that thing where you get it, and you're like, oh, shit.

Like, yo, that just, you know, open my mind. It just wasn't there. And I think it's because I was just trying to talk about how I felt about watching the Arkelly thing, how I felt about, like, the ensuing stuff that's come out, the Jason Momoa stuff, certain people are defending him a lot.

Certain people are horrified. Like, I tried to just do, you know, a half an hour of my reaction to that. And what I realized is that I'm not, I'm not quite built for reaction videos.

I don't think, or like reaction commentary, because it doesn't really go anywhere. And I get bored if the narrative doesn't lead somewhere.

You know, but I didn't know where to take it. What do you do with a problem that seems so systemic across all different forms of business, religion, community.

I mean, good Lord, everywhere you look, there is some iteration of Arkelly doing some version of what he's doing.

And so is it surprising at all that it's condoned and he's been allowed to continue to do? No, not at all.

It's happening in every arena all around us. So how do you go on a mental walk about and get somewhere and get to an aha moment with a topic that's so circular, systemic, never changing.

You know, horrifying, horrifying. So you don't even want to get too deep into it because regardless of why you get in the water, you're getting dirty because the water's fucking disgusting.

You know, so it's, it's difficult. It's difficult to take a subject like that that is just stagnant and disgusting and kind of, you know, derives its power from its own filth.

How do you make something of that instead of just giving your people a bad feeling when they're done listening and going, ugh, why did I, like, what the fuck was that even about?

Regardless of if you love me or not, you would have finished the podcast and been like, yuck, like I didn't learn anything. I don't feel better.

You know, I don't feel like I can actually help in any way, but like I kind of feel gross because someone put on me how bad they feel watching this stuff.

How bad they feel looking around at what they see. I can't do that. You know, again, that's just not being useful. Like what's the point of that?

Everyone feels pretty much the same way I'm assuming. You know, I'm sure your reaction is on par with mine.

Discuss, disbelief, helplessness, sadness, fear, tears, you know, that feeling you get in the hair on the back of your neck stands up when you realize that not only is racism alive and well in America, it is thriving, flourishing.

Yeah, we pretty much all had the same reaction. I don't, you know, like that was like one of the only times in my life trying to do this podcast where I couldn't talk for half an hour because I ran out of shit to say.

Because I was just like, what the fuck am I talking about? Everyone feels this way. Who the fuck is watching that stuff and not going, yo, first of all, dude was molested by a guy.

Like when you molest children before they go through puberty, regardless of what sexual orientation they were going to be, what you did to them imprints on their sexuality.

So they have this self hate, loathing relationship with their sexuality, but they have to carry it out.
