Today, I am recovering a topic in a different light so I've talked about knee

oil on the podcast before which is a fantastic pesticide but it's organic it's

a hundred percent natural It comes from the Neem plant, the Neem tree, and it uses a

compound found within Neem oil called Azadiractin to get the job done. But today specifically I am talking about how to use

neem oil in a preventative manner with a foliar spray.

And so a foliar spray basically just means a spray that is applied to foliage

or the vegetative structures of a plant, the leaves, the stems, etc.

Here is what's interesting about neem oil and something that most people do not know.

A lot of people will get neem oil concentrate,

they will mix it in water, and then they will just let that,

they'll spray, you know, they'll spray a little bit of it,

but then they'll just put that spray bottle in their

garden shed and forget about it and then maybe a couple weeks later they'll use it again.

Well, Neem Oil in water has a half-life of about 45 minutes to four days. So basically it is a complete waste if you mix it in water and then don't use it all.

And so this what I'm sharing today is just a technique that you can use

to make actual good use of your knee mule instead of just letting it basically decay

in water after you've used it. So as a foliar spray what I would do is

first of all be careful so when you mix it be careful because you can actually burn foliage on sensitive plants.

So what I would do is I would spray your neem oil on a small section of a plant, wait a day,

and then see if that leaf has been damaged at all. If there's no damage, then the plant

should not be harmed by spraying more extensively over the entire plant. If it is damaged,
