A day after Florida State announces, it has retained defensive tackle Darrell Jackson,

Florida State lands Nebraska edge rusher James Williams.

Michael, I know you talked to James about six,

six and a half hours ago previous to when we're recording this video. Things sounded good for

Florida State at that time. Tell me what you know about James and his connection to Florida

State's new defensive staff. Yeah, you know, a big, big commitment for FSU, probably one of the top guys, you know,

that overall prospects that they coveted on the board.

Certainly, I think everyone by now, everyone knows Terrence Pottros Nighton's connection with him.

Basically, he's almost like a dad to him.

So through this process, coached him, certainly at

Nebraska, and then Tony White, the connection there. He knows the philosophies. And then talking with

him, you really, you'll get a sense like there wasn't a time where you had to, most times when

you get kids on the portal, you got to, you know, see if they fit the system or see if they're comfortable

with the system didn't have to worry about that he knew what their system was and it was really

the visit was about i think just having his family around you know coach norville and uh even said

he didn't feel in a lot of time with the players. And I'm sure, you know, that's coming.

But I think it was mainly just to be comfortable with Mike Norville.
