David is a retired engineer and certified spiritual counsellor who founded and operated

Steps of Hope Outreach, a non-profit organization that served orphanages in Nepal, Mexico and Haiti

from 2003 to 2018. He has been on a 14-year journey of research into near-death experiences,

including the testimonies of over 1,000 people who have died, seen the afterlife, and returned.

Hi, David. Thanks a lot for coming on to the podcast.

Simon, it's a pleasure to be here. Thank you so much for the invitation.

So we're going to talk about your book, which is called God Took My Clothes.

But I got to ask, first of all, how did you get that title?

Well, it was kind of crazy. I was with a friend of mine who's Catholic and doesn't believe in all this past lives and near-death experience stuff. And, you know, he's very open-minded, though. He'd let me talk about it and he'd listen even though he doesn't believe it. And I was telling him, need a name for my book and he said god took my clothes well he didn't know anything about the very first near-death experience i heard which was a man howard storm who found himself in a negative near-death

experience in a hellish environment and he was naked the whole time and And so it fit. And so his actual testimony is

there on the chapter in hell. I transcribed his 22-minute testimony word for word. It's the only

one transcribed completely in the book. Yeah, it's a fascinating account. He was a guest on the podcast.

He's such a great talker, and it's fascinating what

happened to him and how he's come out of that experience and how it changed his life.
