Neil Brennan is a veteran stand-up comedian, comedy writer, and person with major depressive disorder.

He was the co-creator, along with Dave Chappelle of the comedy series Chappelle Show.

The two also wrote the stoner comedy cult classic Half Bate.

More recently, Neil created the stand-up special three mics on Netflix, where he performs

with three microphones, one for one-liner jokes, one for more traditional stand-up, and one

to talk about his experiences with depression and with his father.

Neil tells about his dad's late-in-life confession that he never loved Neil, or Neil's
