Summary

When Adrienne took time away from All My Relations to focus on her academic obligations, Dr. Dr. Dez stepped into the co-hosting role with Matika. Since then, we have had some great conversation, laughs, and cries with our favorite data warrior, sociologist, demographer, and friend. Desi has been an invaluable member of the team and it was incredible to hear her stories, thoughts and feelings. Now, another time of flux is upon us and we will once again be hearing from the iconic Adrienne and Matika duo that AMR started with. In this episode, Desi will reflect on her time on the pod and Adrienne will reflect on her time off it. We hope you enjoy this short and bittersweet episode and ponder over the growth that has occurred in the past year and a half.

0:11.8	co-host of this All My Relations podcast. Hi relatives, Dr. Dr. Dazzy here. I am a
0:17.3	citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Nation and Chicana. I am a researcher. I'm a
0:21.6	professor. I direct the Data Warriors Lab. I'm a mama to nota, a relative, and
0:26.8	it's been so wonderful co-hosting season three of All My Relations. Well, we're
0:32.9	here for some good things. We're gonna get caught up and get current and I have
0:38.8	some big news for you. So I'm just gonna drum roll it. Daz, go ahead tell him what's
0:42.6	happening. Okay, I don't know if it's good news, bad news, I don't know. We have
0:50.0	news. So this is wrapping up, right? My time on the pod, at least in a formal
0:56.6	co-host role, when I agreed to come on board the All My Relations team. It was
1:03.0	clear that I was just going to be here for season three and give Dr. Adrienne a
1:09.1	break because she was doing all the things on her end to keep being a
1:14.9	professor and a scholar baddie. And so yeah, it was it was a great year, a run
1:24.0	that we had on All My Relations recording all sorts of things. And I am just
1:29.3	really thankful to be able to say that I contributed to this amazing pod that
1:35.8	my journey intersected that of Matika's again and of course all of the team.
1:41.0	And now it's time for me to transition back into more of my research and I'm
1:48.0	going to be taking my lab, the data warriors lab on the road. So we got a big
1:53.3	influx of money through a phenomenal donor who has invested in the
1:58.9	development of a data warriors lab that's going to be mobile. So we're going to be
