One, Brian Bush. Brian, welcome back to the podcast. Good to be here, John. Thanks for having me.

Well, I appreciate being able to have you here because it means that Michigan, in fact,

did make the tournament. There were a lot of ways that people looked at this. Some were more

nervous than others. Hunter Dickinson assured that he felt like Michigan had done enough to

get into the tournament. What was your reaction when you saw that not only did Michigan get in, they avoided the playing in game,

they got to go back to Indy, which is a nice, familiar place for them?

Wait, you mean you wouldn't have had me on had we been previewing the NIT?

I didn't say that.

No, I felt the whole time that Michigan was in.

I was very surprised that Michigan was not in Dayton.

I don't know how you digested all of what happened on

Selection Sunday, but when I

watched the end of that Richmond Davidson game, I really thought, man, that might be what

sends us to Dayton. The reality is that Michigan was the last buy. I mean, legitimately a group of people advanced Michigan

one round in the NCAA tournament. And the Wolverine should feel very grateful for that.

They should use it as a second opportunity, a second chance. And I mean, gosh, when you consider

the fact that it's one week later, almost the exact same start time, first game of the day.

I mean, in the same arena, there's a lot of symmetry there that Michigan gets a second chance

at doing what they should have done in the second round of the Big Ten tournament.

They had Indiana dead to rights.

That game was over.
