It's NCAA tournament week and the Big 12 has eight teams in March Madness this year.

I'm Pete Mundo with Heartland College Sports.

He's Matthew Postens, our lead Big 12 basketball rider.

And it is March.

And for a guy that does this basically all year round, you got to be fired up.

Yeah, it's like Christmas. It's like we took the greatness of December and moved it into March just for basketball fans.

Just for us basketball fans. Exactly. It's a lot of fun. You know your bracket's going to get busted

the first day, but you don't really care because you get to watch basketball from like 1130

in the morning, my time to 1130 in the evening.

Let's start this conversation as we talk about, you know, the first weekend for

the Big 12 with the news from Tuesday night. Kevin McCuller is not going to play for Kansas at all

in the tournament. Bill Self sounded pretty fed up to me with Kevin McCuller. He's been dealing

with this knee bruise for a few weeks. He didn't play in the Big 12 tournament.

Last time we saw him was kind of hobbling around against Houston in that final regular season game.

First off, I think Kansas is screwed.

I think they're going to lose to Sanford.
