guest, we're going to call him a rising star of the media industry, Mike Monaco, one of our friends

from the Notre Dame Beat back in the day. Mike, I guess how are you doing? Just for the record,

for our listeners, this is a non-emergency podcast, even though there was some emergency news

with Notre Dame football and the NCAA today.

But Mike, let's talk about more upbeat things.

Your future in what the shamrock bump will mean for you in broadcasting in the not-too-distance future.

Well, my colleague, Eric McLean, he just put out a photo.

Matt was saying this before we hit

recorded of him and now president Joe Biden. I think yesterday he posted that. We've got

offensive linemen ruling this podcast, but everyone gets a podcast bump it seems regardless

of position. And I am a loyal listener. I'm in a fantasy football league of Notre Dame

guys, and I've told Matt there is a team name in our league that is Matt Fortuna in our

fantasy football league. So I come from a group of loyalists to the shamrock. Did that team finish

last or second to last? I'm curious. You know, they were in the thick of things.

They didn't take home any money, but they put together a quality performance that,

like the college equivalent of maybe like an eight and four season.

Just not good enough.

I think that's pretty appropriate.
