We are just seconds away from tonight's only vice presidential debate between Ohio Republican

Senator J.D JD Vance and Minnesota Democratic

Governor Tim Walsh.

That's right it is also potentially if you haven't noticed possibly the last

debate we will see before election day election day now just 35 days away, five weeks.

We have kind of set the table here and what people will be looking at and what we'll

all be talking about in a little while.

We will have in-depth analysis once the debate concludes here on NBC, but tonight's event is hosted by

CBS News in their studio in New York just a few blocks from here.

Yeah and as the last debate was between the running mates Donald Trump and

Kamala Harris.

There's no audience in there tonight.

So each candidate is going to have two minutes for their answers and then there's a

rebuttal and the moderators have said lesser there will be some fact-checking

but they're really counting on the candidates

to fact-check each other. And as we noted, unlike the last debate, microphones will not

be muted but the network says they reserve the right to mute the candidates so

that'll be an interesting process they go along.
