But regardless, just know, this is the place you want to be. On today's episode, I want to talk about some news across the association. Talk about the NBA Cup. It's now called the NBA Cup. I still hear people call into the in season tournament. It's the NBA Cup. Talk about that.

Talk about that. Talk about some big performances we had over the last couple of mics. We had multiple 50 pieces in a single night. But the bulk of this episode is what we call in the NBA vibes rating. I got a few different teams, and I just want to grade the vibe over there. One through 10,

the vibe of the fan base, the vibe of the team, everything involved. And this is really my excuse to talk, not trash, not talk trash, but talk about a few different teams that have not

look good and things ain't looking great. But I also got some good stories in there too. So like

subscribe. Let's get into the NBA Cup because I think it's way too early for us to tell if the

NBA Cup is going to stick around for the next 40 years of NBA basketball. But I can firmly

say that I love it every single year. Now, I'm not the target demo, right? I'm going to be

watching basketball regardless. This is really for the casual fan. But I love it every single year. Now, I'm not the target demo, right? I'm going to be watching basketball regardless. This is really for the casual fan, but I love it as an experience. On the other podcast, we were asked to open up the show, what will we grade the season so far? And we're talking, what, three weeks, almost a month into the season. I personally said a C plus, but some of my co-hosts that a D and a D minus. And the reason they said that is it felt like none of these games have had real stakes. And that's just the reality of the NBA regular season. You're not going to get a lot of high-stakes games. The NBA Cup, at least day one, brought it. Oh, my God. And now I can't wait until we record the next episode of that podcast because I want to ask, has that, has that grade kind of shifted from a D or D minus after we've seen some big time performances in the NBA Cup and some really cool stuff?

So I think one of the main criticisms of the Cup is, A, a lot of people don't really understand what the hell is going on.

And I've never really understood that.

It probably takes 30 seconds to really figure it out. Regardless, regardless. The other thing is that we don't know what the groups are. I think that's a really real criticism, considering the groups are changing every single season. They had it be its own TV episode or TV show when they were announcing who's in whatever group doing Summer League. and it was kind of weird to see because even the people on the panel weren't really that interested. Like when you see teams in the same cup group, you want to have the people on the broadcast be kind of excited. Oh, you got the pastures in the same places. This team. No, no, no. They they really happen so that's that's major major

criticism that i think we can maybe figure out i just don't know exactly how we get there

but the criticism that i don't understand is the people that complain about the courts not

mattering like you can say that you don't like the courts that's completely okay because some of them

majority of them are actually really awful but the idea of the court is super cool to me so we're

going to talk about clay versus step curry a little bit later in the episode but i think it's going to be
