for today's case, we are going to be talking about Lorenzen Wright. He was a very talented NBA player

who played 13 seasons actually. And he played for several different teams, the Clippers, the Hawks,

the Grizzlies, the Kings, and the Cavaliers. And he was tragically murdered in 2010. And the most

recent trial for the case actually just wrapped up. And it started in March of 2022. So I wanted

to cover it today. I know it's been in headlines kind of recently. And let's go ahead and start

by talking more about Lorenzen's life. Lorenzen was born on November 4th, 1975 in Oxford,

Mississippi. And before he was known for his 13 seasons in the NBA, he got his start in basketball

at Lafayette High School, where he played for three years. During his senior year, he moved to

Memphis, Tennessee, and he played for Booker T. Washington High School. And he loved Memphis.

Particularly, he liked the music scene, the churches, and the fact that he could always find

good barbecue there. And high school was a very exciting time for him. I mean, he was the star
