Hello again, everybody, and welcome to the Mike Francesa podcast, part of the BetRivers Network.

As we take a look at Game 7, as we put the finishing touches on the basketball season,

and do it with what is a very rare game 7 and a surprising game seven because when this series

started, very few people thought the heavily favored and extremely heavily favored, Oklahoma

City Thunder would have to be extended seven games. As the series progressed, it became obvious that Indiana was going to be a little tougher

than Oklahoma City probably or anybody else thought.

And now we get ready for a game seven, which was in no way surprise before game six.

I told me that I thought in the end of the home game six.

And the reason why is, as I've watched this series unfold,

two things have become starkly evident.

One, Oklahoma City is a very long and very talented young team.

And number two, they are unbelievably immature. And their immaturity has shown dramatically

throughout this series. And it was never exhibited any stronger than it was in game

six, where after taking a 10-2 lead and watching Indiana jump back and take a 15-12 lead,

they didn't lift a finger or do anything physically the rest of the game. They basically said,

okay, hey, we'll see you.

We'll see you in front of the home folks in game seven, putting obviously a great deal of

faith on their home court situation. But the bottom line is this should never have been

a seven game series. These are not equal teams. And although I have seen,

not only since, I have seen a lot of support for Indiana and a lot of people picking Indiana

in game seven, getting obviously seven and a half points. But to me, I just don't see the series the same way.
