Welcome to What's Burnin here with International Man of Mystery Matt Barnes just back from Croatia all the smoke international you guys by the way that sunset everyone go to Matt's IG if you haven't seen it was insane what was it like yeah I mean shout out to Domo um he was great great host we were out there for the Croatia um sunset sports festival we were one of a handful of people they brought in from around the world to talk sports media women in sports women in media.

So we had a great time but it was really a eight day vacation I think he worked to total of like four hours and eight days so food was great views were amazing water was turquoise as my girl likes to say the air was clean so man had a great time Croatia shout out showtime basketball for eight days for four hours of work across the waters we appreciate you.

There we go while you left though while you were sleeping so just speak like the NBA finals started I know that you kept up we're going into game three Miami all tied up not with the odds makers expected after Denver thumped Miami in game one and in fact the nuggets were actually up at halftime they're up at 15 in the second quarter what does it surprise you that they're going into game three tied do you think it means something I can't say surprise me at this point because I think Miami has continued to be a great time for the game.

I'm going to be a great time for you to surprise everyone on every level you know from me in one game or being a playing team losing their first playing game to running through the best the Easter concert has to offer.

I really just give a lot of credit to spulster and and Jimmy Butler I really feel like they have these guys believing you know obviously you look at the roster is not a ton of names that jump out to you but these guys play a certain way and I compare him to a San Antonio from a standpoint not the talent and and if they'll win a championship or not but just great coach that makes these guys believe and they're going to play their way every single game they're not going to beat themselves.

You're going to have to beat them and and that's what I think you saw in game two they didn't beat themselves. I think Denver let their foot off the gas you know obviously spul do spulster through some defense of you know magic in there from you know press into going into zone to you know really focus and on slowing down.

Murray so again you know great execute and you know a great execution but we all know Rachel you know the finals in the playoffs and dinner all about adjustments are going to see how Denver bounces back but you know heading into Miami one one Miami's feeling very confident right now.

Yeah no I mean we know this pose a Hall of Fame coach bound for the Hall of Fame one day this is chess match though Michael Malone knows what he's doing he's been around the block he was literally raised in the game as far as an epic coach.

So I do think the X is a knows is going to be interesting going back and forth and there was a lot made in game two of turning Yokech into a score instead of a passer right he did open up the scoring lanes I mean it's in arguable.

Yokech had a playoff low for him for a siss but afterward coach Spowe asked to even like that turning Yokech into a score he was very adamant.

Oh it's not it's a very simplistic view and all of this stuff was that accurate on his part was that a little gamesmanship of him being like no that's not what we're doing over here.

I think a little bit of both obviously shout out Ramona because she knows the game she knows the game you know as good as anybody.

And it was a completely legitimate valid question.

But obviously there's more to it you know I think Yokech is great but we've seen when his supporting cast doesn't show up there kind of a middle of the pack team you know I mean obviously Murray had an off night.

Michael Porter junior didn't show up you know Bruce Brown has been great off the bench he didn't really give him too much so Yokech had to do what he had to do to kind of keep his team in the game.

So we all know that he's a capable score he's just more of a pass first guy and I don't necessarily look at the four siss as him not looking to pass I was I think it was more of his team's just or his teammates not making shots.

So you know again I think you brought up a great point you know two of the best coaches in the game and it's an interesting chest game amongst them and then also there's a game that's being played on the floor with the player.

So this game will be a game three of you about adjustments and I'm sure that Mike Malona half his team ready and I know Spolt throw some more wrinkles into what they're doing so we know that Miami kind of really has to make a lot of adjustments.

Everyone think you know obviously on paper Denver's the better team but you know the game is played on the floor you know with two great coaches that are going back and forth in mind games and players have to go out there and perform.

One of the real geniuses of Miami's roster for the playoffs which by the way is what it is because it's shipped so much during the year is that it's so like dexterous right they can do so many different things depending on what the other team throws at you.

They can play in a bunch of different ways and we saw that in the way they played against Milwaukee the way they played against New York they shipped it like three times just in that New York series alone.

So that's what to me everyone you know heat culture yes huge I used to work down there like no question that is a big part of their DNA there were several times in game two where they were behind and they could have just quit and been like great this is not serious and they didn't so like all of that's real.
