Welcome on to an awesome night of NBA Cup action. Danny and I did a lot of it live earlier

today. That meant we took absolutely no notes. So we're going to do our best to actually remember

what happened now two and a half hours after the fact or so, but certainly doesn't take much

to recall how awesome that Orlando Detroit game was.

I love the stakes of the last day of the NBA Cup because you have to, things, the sands are shifting,

but for a lot of the teams, it's actually more simple, which is just win or ideally win by as many points as you can.

And Orlando, Detroit, particularly after Detroit's lost to the Celtics on Wednesday, was, was, we're clear.

It was for Orlando was probably, and they eventually would have been in if they had lost.

But number one seed if they win, and for Detroit, it's the spot in the, in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.

And so both teams played incredibly hard.

And this was a really, really physical game. I mean, it was, it was incredible,

facilitated in part by the refs letting a lot of things go. There was a lot of contact around the

basket that was not whistle for foul. Even so, there were a combined 63 free throw attempts in

this game, and not a lot of that was like late fouling stuff. That's just not the way this game went.

And so for me, the physicality of a lot of the players, that was the thing that stuck out

the most to me.

Yeah, absolutely.

And these are two extremely physical teams.

And Detroit, it seemed like they were going to be dominating this game in the possession

game early.

They were getting a ton of offensive rebounds at the first time out of the first quarter.

They had 70% offensive rebounds.
