All right, we've been waiting for it. Our eyes are ready for a reprieve from the courts, but aside from that bit of foible, what did you make of the first official night of in-season tournament I think I'm just going to call it an

NBA cup and be a cup games it's hard to know right now whether all of the explanation here is because they were NBA cup games but overall a competitive

entertaining slate there were some exceptions but generally we saw a better more competitive

version of teams including like who played like for the

calves will of course talk about that whether that was just jay jard-allen was ready which is

what I'd assume rather than like they held him for the cup but But I mean a really fun slate of games. I mean something

where you and I bounced between a series of them on playback and then we needed to go back to watch other things because

there was so much going on. No, it was excellent.

And yeah, the number one question of just how good were the games, the games were great.

Teams tried pretty hard.

Now were guys going like crazy minutes and the Memphis Portland game there were some of the

over 40 in regulation I mean but Memphis is just feigning for a victory right now and

Portland it hadn't been home in a while they're looking for a three-game

win streak so that was actually a good game I want to talk about that same and I thought

Denver came out and played really hard after that embarrassing loss in Minnesota so that they clearly were fired up

Dallas was 4 and 0 they brought Kyrie Irving back for this game I think generally

there weren't really any of these kind of mystery absences for anything like rest or some such and that's

partially due to the way it's set up right no back to backs in front of these or behind so there's

definitely the ability to put at least a little bit more of a focus on it so

Shay was really the only guy I thought who was that like Nick

klachson has been out with an ankle

spraying already. Did anybody else really miss these games? Daniel Gafford came back for the Wizards.
