who has emerged as the top candidate for the Detroit Pistons' new GM job, which just feels like

a long time coming. Every time that there's a GM job that

opens up, it always feels like Troy Weaver either should be considered or should be the guy.

And it looks like he actually might be the guy. It says that the Pistons are actively working

toward to complete a deal to hire Weaver.

So long-time Thunder assistant GM finally gets his shot.

Yeah.

I mean, it's not the first Thunder front office guy to find a new job,

a prominent job in the league.

So that is a testament also about the school that St. Presti is building in terms of executives and also staffers. So it's good for a guy like Troy River to finally be able to prove himself outside of OPC and outside of Presti's leadership.
