Welcome back to another episode of Small Ball with Kenny Beach and can you believe it.

We're over one month through the NBA season. It feels like just yesterday, we were talking about

how great this season is going to be. And now we're here. We've got game winning shots.

We've got 50 point gains. We got brawlsls we got legends coming out after the future of the

NBA it's a lot going on in the league and with us being one month into the season I thought it

would be a perfect time to give out some awards ladies and gentlemen so today I'll be filling out

what would be an official ballot for NBA awards if the season were to end after one month now I want to make this very

very clear this is not a prediction for the rest of the season I am saying that instead of it

being an 82 game season and said it was 15 or 16 games this is my MVP this is my rookie

year so on and so forth and maybe we do this again after three months and see exactly how

things have shifted but I'm just using the sample size that we have today. And in my opinion, that makes it more fluid, obviously, but also more difficult. Because some of the awards, you kind of project, oh, this guy is going to win DPOI because he's an alien. But that guy also is out with an injury. So can he win DPOP.O.Y. Today in my episode, I don't really know.

Now, I am a guy that normally likes to play by the rules at least a little bit. And y'all know that the NBA has a 75 game minimum threshold for an 82 game season. And we're going to talk about that a little bit later in ASKB. but doing the mathematics, that is about 79% of games need to be played for you to be eligible for an award.

So if your team has played 15 games, you have to appear in at least 11 of those to be eligible for the small ball with Kenny Beachham, NBA award show.

Let's get into the biggest award.

The one that you care about the most.

Honestly speaking, the most difficult award over the last couple of seasons, because it's boiled down to these last two dudes, Chegiers Alexander and Nicole Iokic. Before we get into that, I do have a top three when it comes to my ballot. So let's talk about the number three spot because as much, as hard as it is to pick between SGA and Nicole Eokas for the one spot, I think it's really tough to pick the three spot between Luca Dantos and Yannis. Because right now, Janus technically fits in, even though he's missed the last couple games. He barely gets through that threshold. But I think ultimately, it's kind of like a coin flip. I'm going to give a little bit of a nod to Luca Dantzance as's my number three spot. That is no disrespect to Janus. He was my preseason pick to win MVP. But Luca being able to come in and average what he's averaging and keep the Lakers afloat amidst a bunch of injuries. It's pretty impressive. Now, Janus don't really have that much of, you know, support behind him as far as the team goes. You're kind of seeing

it now with him being out. But I'm just going to give the slight nod to Luca for the three spot, but y'all care about number one. What do y'all care about number three? This is, I think this is geared enough for another one of those seasons where whoever you have in this one spot, whether the B. Shea or the B. Yokic, I can't argue that you are wrong.

of your personal preferences when it comes to NBA players. Yokers' resume is insane. SGA's resume is insane.
