Lord Captain's Log number four. We delved deeper into the Noctuary family vault, which was in the process of being assaulted by cultists under the thrall of the Lord of Excess. Somehow the heretics had even managed to summon what I've been told are a chaos spawn and a demon.

It was a harrowing fight, but in the end, after some clever use of environmental hazards,

Nazgob's roaring flash gun, Jerichus's psionic might and Holt's crack aim. We rested victory out of the horrific situation.

But that isn't the only thing we got from the vault.

Among a few choice pieces of equipment my retinue took as reward for our services,

we found a genuine standard template construct, commonly referred to as an

STC. A rare and valuable find, too valuable to claim for myself, as something like this

belongs in the mechodendrites of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

We only barely managed to make it off-planet as the heretics attempted to detonate the reactor

of one of the present Arvus Lighters, not mine, but the Traitor's Gambit proved to be in vain.

Once we were safely out of orbit of Pelprimus, we returned the STC to the Noctori

family and completed the transition of Gloria Victorian Noctori to the crew of the Fool's

Guilt. We learned from Queen Governor Laura Balleris Steele that but the golden mask we'd found in the Nottori

Vault belonged to someone, or some group, in the upper hives of Pelprimus. We informed my

sister and Lex of the heresy occurring on her planet, and wished her well in smoking out

their traitorous ilk.

It was here that we also received word that the voidsmen from Hosty were willing to join

our crew as long as we tracked down and destroyed the Drukari vessel known as the lamentful

cries.
