Summary
"The pleasure of being a coach is you get to bear witness to the process of what goes on behind-the-scenes. The fans only get to see what people do for a performance, but you get to know what's actually going on, the ups and downs... It makes those great moments mean even more."
NAZ Elite's Head Coach Jack Mullaney joins us live in New York to reflect on his first year with the team. Jack shares what he loves most about coaching, his philosophy, what the transition was like going from coaching at the college level to pro level, and what's ahead for the team.
The race kicks off on Sunday, November 3rd with the women’s race starting at 8:35am E.T. and the men following at 9:05am E.T. (Don’t forget to set your clock back an hour the night before!) The race will be streamed nationally on ESPN and locally on ABC.

| 0:45.3 | What's like the most rewarding part of the job? |
| 0:48.3 | I think really just seeing the pleasure that the athletes get in their own development. We had some |
| 0:56.0 | great moments over the course of the last year. Adrian Weldskid getting 10th at the Olympics. |
| 1:01.1 | He ran seven races this year, and every single race he ran, he either set a national record, |
| 1:07.6 | won, or did both. So it was a great year. |
| 1:11.4 | And so like for somebody like that, just to see them go through that and have these |
| 1:16.1 | breakthroughs every single time they said foot on the track was really exciting. |
| 1:20.1 | And there's been plenty of others too, but really it's just that journey of, I always say like |
| 1:24.8 | the pleasure of being a coach is that you get to bear witness to the process of what goes on behind the scenes. |
| 1:31.0 | You know, the fans only get to see what people do for a performance, but you get to kind of know what's actually been going on, all the ups and downs. |
| 1:39.6 | And being able to kind of bear witness to that process is such a pleasure because it makes those great moments mean even more. Yeah. What do you feel like was the hardest part transitioning from |
| 1:49.5 | coaching collegiately to now coaching on the professional level? Yeah, that's a good question. I think, |
