I do fall in love with our guest market. It's funny.

I met this woman through my colleagues at CBS News. Her name is Anne Mukarji.

She is the chair and CEO of Perno Recart, which is the second largest

spirits company in the world. Now, what's so wild about this is that we've talked to female CEOs

before. And we've said, oh, it's hard when you're in tech or it's hard to be a female CEO in business.

This industry, I think she's the only one of a publicly traded company that's a one. Isn't that

an amazing mark? So in this first part of the interview, we're going to talk about Anne's

background and kind of what happened when she joined this company was like literally minutes

after she joined the pandemic hit. So I was interested to learn what happens to you when you come

into a big company like this and you're confronted with this huge, huge shift in the universe.

So here's part one of our interview with Anne Mukarji. So Anne, welcome to the program. And I

just would like to start with sort of understanding how you got to this position because the first

thing that I thought, oh, a CEO who's a woman, how nice. Then I started to read in on your story.
