Well, thanks for joining us today. Last time we talked about why it matters that you and your kids read scripture together and the importance of truth and keeping it central in your home. And today we're going to talk about how to handle those difficult parts that might scare you. I'm John Fuller, along with our vice president of parenting, Dr. Danny,

0:21.0

Dr. Danny, what are some of the trouble spots for you as you open the scripture?

0:26.2

Are there any, I guess, is the first question.

0:28.1

We've talked about in our family about Job. Job is a tough one. We've had some great

I don't know which one have you struggled with.

1:32.7

You know, I used to struggle with revelation, but I've just come down to saying,

1:36.7

God is mysterious, kind of like what you're saying.

1:39.4

God is mysterious.

1:41.0

He knows the end, and none of it takes him by surprise. And it's all going to happen

1:46.2

the way he wants it to or allows it to. So I've got a pretty high view of God's sovereignty.

1:52.5

It helps me with those hard passages. But let's go ahead and listen to Danica Cooley. She was on

1:58.1

Focus on the Family with Jim Daly, and Danica and Jim talked about

2:01.7

what to do when you and your kids are reading the Word of God and you hit a tough spot.
