Nehemiah chapter six.

I actually want to read three different parts of this chapter and tie them together. So the first is Nehemiah

chapter 6 verses 1 through 4. Now when Sandballit and Tobaya and Geshm the

Arab and the rest of our enemies heard that I had built a wall that there was no breach left in

it although up to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates.

Sand ballot and Gashim sent to me saying come and let us meet together at Hakapram and the plane of

Ono but they intended to do me harm and I sent messengers to them saying I'm

doing a great work and I cannot come down.

Why would the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?

And they sent to me four times in this way,

and I answered them in the same manner. So here's the picture,

people who want to do Nehemiah harm and want to stop this work that God has called him to do.

And at first, they say, we want you to come talk to us.

And he says, no, I am doing a great work, I can't come down.

I'm not going to stop this work to come down to you and then

later in chapter six verses eight and nine

Nehemiah says I sent to him saying no such things as you say have been done for you are inventing them

out of your own mind for they all wanted to frighten us thinking their hands will

drop from the work and it will not be done. But now God strengthen my hands. So here's a second time when people

are trying to stop the work and Nehemiah says no I'm going to keep working on what God has called me to do.

And then you get to Nehemiah 6, verse 13, and it says,
