I'm Ken Rydow, joined as always by the voice of all combat sports, the legend Teddy Atlas.

Teddy, how you doing?

Good.

I'm, you know, just very, still thinking and blessed Thursday night at the 28th annual Dr. Atlas Foundation dinner

where we have an event to raise money to help the less fortunate people that fall through

the cracks of our society.

Sometimes they don't have anywhere to go, whether it's, you know, no, I always say we're no better, no worse than any other foundation trying to help people.

You know, whether it's a single mom, we deal with a lot of single moms, but we try to go to the areas that the most need.

And, you know, a single mom with six kids for exam, I'm thinking actually of her right now,

that is working, two jobs. A couple of kids get sick. She falls behind rent. She's being evicted,

kicked out of her apartment. She's being put into a city shelter. She gets put into a city shelter.

Her little daughter, 11 years old, is autistic.

She has an episode because it's a violent.

I hate to say it, these city shelters are violent.

Really, it's not right for people to have to live that way.

And she's put in there, the daughter has an episode, and we get

an apartment. You know, she doesn't have $3,000 to get an apartment. Might as well be dirty. So we

get an apartment. And again, we're not God. We're no better than, we're help, but that's all she

wants. A little bridge over those troubled waters like the song says help get her from point

a to point B where we'll pay one two maybe three months maybe and and then she's back she's back

on track you know she's back to work she's able to handle it herself that's all you know same thing with
