1:06.3 | Instead, I want to talk about how nature itself and the aliveness of nature connects us |
1:12.6 | to an essential part of our humaneness that I think we can easily get disconnected from |
1:19.2 | when we sterilize our lives, or we shelter ourselves from the wildness of the world around |

1:27.6 | I don't think this sheltering is, like nobody's really to blame for it, so much of how |
1:34.1 | we've evolved has been based on what we perceive will bring us more comfort and safety, |
1:43.5 | and so often that looks like one, like not being necessarily in the jungle where there |
1:50.6 | might be snakes or animals that we have to fend ourselves against, and it might look |
1:57.0 | like having a certain house that has a ceiling and is insulated. |
2:02.9 | And so I think sometimes we can poopoo these things, look at it as a product of a materialistic |
2:11.6 | world, in some cases, the product of colonialism. |
2:15.8 | Those are nuanced conversations we won't go too deep into it. |
