Let's talk about natural flavors.

0:23.8

Sometimes people think that natural flavors mean vegan.

0:28.0

No, they don't.

0:29.5

Let's differentiate natural flavors versus artificial flavoring.

0:33.7

So the question is, how do they make flavoring taste like something and keep it natural?

0:38.8

Well, they use the essence of something.

0:41.0

They might use a spice, some extract, fruit, fruit juice, veggie juice, edible yeast, herbs, bark, buds of plants, roots of plants, leaves of plants. But they also use meat, seafood, poultry,

1:00.5

and egg. That's right. So when you have a plant-based veggie burger, how do you think they get it

1:08.7

to taste like a burger? Well, this is how they do it. They use animal products.

1:41.2

definitely not the same. Now, here's another point that I want to bring up that

1:45.7

because I produce certain supplements that require flavoring, there's one thing that a lot of people don't realize.

1:55.4

When you have dry flavors compared to liquid, you have to use various carriers to make them dry. Okay. And the most common carrier

2:05.4

is multodextrin, which is the highest thing on the glycemic index. It is way higher than pure

2:13.2

glucose. Okay. Glucose is like 100. Multidextrin, I think is like 120. It can be even more. So it's,

2:21.1

it's not keto-friendly, but they use that in the flavors. So I just wanted to bring that to your

2:26.8

attention. All my products do not use multidextrin. We use a different carrier. I think it's
