She is Chungu Lakota.

I'm Sichungu Lakota,

Just kidding.

She received her PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Her research and teaching focuses on early and contemporary Native American literature

and literary criticism with an emphasis on Ochetti

Shakoi, that is Dacotta, Lakota, and Nacotta literatures.

Sarah is also, or she was the former director, executive director of Oak Lake Writers Society,

which is a, as everyone knows, a tribal writing group for Ochetti-Shauchauchauchaui writers, but she has also

spearheaded the Native Reed's Ochettishau-Chaukoy series in partnership with the Oak Lake Writers Society as well as First Nations Development

Institute from which she's also done a lot of work for as well.

So this is a kind of follow-up episode with the Native Reed's program.

No, like you said, my name is Sarah Hernandez.

I'm Cichangu Lakota.

My grandparents are John Flood from Oak Creek,

and my grandmother is Leona Colom from White River.
