Could you start by introducing yourself?

Great, yeah, sure.

I am Phoenix Johnson of the Kinket and Haydn Nation, I'm of the

I am an active duty Air Force veteran as well as a former federal contractor for the Army National Guard.

And you're also the director for Veterans for Peace in Seattle, is that correct?

on the Howard Zen funding committee at national level, funding peace projects

around the country and around the world.

Great. Can you talk a little bit about how you got involved in that kind of

work? I think it was, you know, some,

there's such a diversity of stories

in how veterans have found demilitarization

anti-war work.

And some, there was a moment where everything had snapped and they had you

know understood you know this catalyst moment to throw them into anti-war activism but for me it was a steady slow

progression over several years of questioning that eventually I just gravitated towards other veterans and anti-war organizations.
