I've gone all glittery, glittery whittering white hole today.

I'm wearing a black sweater with what I can only

describe as a bejeweled shoulder because I felt I needed a little bit of an uplift because let's

face it, February not my favourite month. We're deep, deep, deep into winter. I know we're nearly

out of it and I know we're nearly into spring, but I always find

February quite difficult. We've had the excitement of Christmas a new year, then we've sort of

ground through January marmalade making, it's always quite busy, then we get into boring old February.

The only light in the tunnel of February is Valentine's Day. But I think, as we've already

discussed, Mr. Whitehall will never take me out for dinner on Valentine's Day because he doesn't

want to sit in a row of tables for two. Right, what do we have coming up today? We roll back

the years to National Service. This conversation is ridiculous.
