Hello everyone and welcome to Talk Nurdy. Today is Monday, May 25th, 2020 and I'm the host of the show Kara Santa Maria and for those of us living in the United States, of course, today we observe Memorial Day,

previously known as Decoration Day.

This is a federal holiday here in the US, where we honor the lives lost from individual serving in the

United States Armed Forces and if you are a loved one of a fallen service person. I want to let you know that I'm so

grateful for their service and I am deeply, deeply sorry for your loss.

This is a day of mourning and remembrance.

This is, well, it is in the US now,

also a day of retail sales,

but I contend that it should not be,

and I think that we should all remember how important this day actually is.

All right, I'm really excited about this week's episode.

Before we dive into it though, I do want to thank some special

individuals who have helped make nerdy talk nerdy that's my show
