| 0:58.2 | Yeah, so the Metropolitan Police Chief said that this suspect at around 215 this afternoon |
| 1:03.7 | approached two guardsmen, right outside of the White House, close to an area that is heavily |
| 1:09.7 | trafficked by pedestrians, raised a weapon and |
| 1:12.7 | fired directly at these two guardsmen. He called it an ambush attack. And he said that the |
| 1:19.3 | suspect was quickly apprehended, though, because there are so many other law enforcement |
| 1:24.8 | officers in the area. So other National Guards members came to assist. |
| 1:29.0 | I talked to a Secret Service source who said that Secret Service were there within minutes because |
| 1:34.5 | they are within that purview area as well. So the suspect was quickly apprehended. That person is now |
| 1:41.4 | in a hospital being treated. The two guards members who were shot are being treated are in critical condition, as we heard from the FBI director there. |
| 1:49.8 | And this is all in an area that is, you know, tons of people are walking around this part of Washington, D.C. |
| 1:57.6 | This is right near a metro stop as well. |
| 2:00.5 | The president is not in Washington, D.C. right now. |
