Before we get to tonight's championship game, I want to say this off the top.

Yes, the national championship game is tonight.

Yes, I said it.

Yes, I mean it.

And yes, I saw what Michigan did to Arizona Saturday night. And what everybody was calling the de facto title game. I saw that game, obviously, start to finish, and I still can't believe what I saw. I know I saw it. I'm just having a hard time accepting or believing

that it actually happened. It's happening, you guys, it's happening. It was happening. That was

supposedly a matchup between the two best teams in the tournament. And instead, it devolved quickly

into Tyson v. Spinks.

Except instead of ending after 91 seconds, like that fight did, we got 12 full rounds of Arizona

getting punched in the face, unable to defend itself with no referee to stop that fight

and no cornerman to throw in the towel.

You just saw what it would have looked like or what would have happened if Tyson had been

allowed to keep wailing on Spinks for 12 rounds.

Because Michigan just kept getting on better and better.

They were so good that winning 9173 does not begin to do that justice because they led that game by 30 at one point.

As Mike himself famously said, everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the face.

Well, that's exactly what happened to Arizona. They had a plan until they get punched in the face. Well, that's exactly what happened to Arizona.

They had a plan until Michigan punched them in the face. And then they never recovered.

But as mentioned, the ref did not pull Michigan off of Arizona, nor did the ref look directly

into Michigan's eyes and ask them if they want to continue

and then wipe off their gloves.
