Summary
Having personally lived in several African countries for a number of years, Nathanial highlights some of the very basic problems that western people can't conceive of, like unfair banking system that charges extortionate fees, and a weak education system that doesn't even provide separate bathroom facilities for girls in schools. Just like everywhere in the world, teachers are not being compensated properly, keeping them in abject poverty.
Nathaniel advocates a “how to fish” teaching strategy vs. “give them fish to eat”.
