Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a big boy named Nathan, who sometimes had trouble going to sleep.

You see, Nathan was very curious and social, and he loved to always be seeing new things, speaking with people, and generally learning about the world.

Sleeping to him felt like a waste of time that he could have spent exploring.

Nathan would often try various tactics to delay his bedtime, but his parents, knowing that sleep is important for active growing boys,

and also, by the way, for active growing girls, had to be pretty firm with Nathan.

They had their bedtime routine of brushing teeth, stories, and then tucking in, but after that, Nathan was expected to go to sleep.

However, often his parents would find him

trying to play with toys, look at books,

or even wanting to go outside for a walk.
