I'm three years old, and I live in a quick one of Canada, and I have a story about a bed and a door and a meal.

Hello, and welcome to MakeDup. I'm your host, Amanda.

Today's Make-Up is very special because it's for someone who is also having their birthday today.

Nathan from Coquitlam, Canada, is turning four years old today,

and he has asked us for a story about

a bed, a door, and a wheel.

So we want to say, happy birthday, Nathan, and we hope you enjoy the story.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a big boy named Nathan, who sometimes had trouble going to sleep.

You see, Nathan was very curious and social, and he loved to always be seeing new things, speaking with people, and generally learning about the world.

Sleeping to him felt like a waste of time that he could have spent exploring.

Nathan would often try various tactics to delay his bedtime, but his parents, knowing that sleep is important for active growing boys,

and also, by the way, for active growing girls, had to be pretty firm with Nathan.

They had their bedtime routine of brushing teeth, stories, and then tucking in, but after that, Nathan was expected to go to sleep.

However, often his parents would find him

around the house after bedtime,

trying to play with toys, look at books,

or even wanting to go outside for a walk.

It seemed to Nathan that lots of fun things must be happening while he slept,

and he was loath to miss all that excitement.
