Hello and welcome to the tennis podcast brought to you in association with the telegraph and

And I'm not going to fathom around with the intro this week because there is so much meaty news

to get through from the tennis world this week. Regrettably not all of it is positive,

but we will be covering all of it good and bad because that's what we're here to do on the

tennis podcast isn't it David Law? Yeah it is. Let's get on with it.

Right then. So in case you hadn't noticed the Fed Cup what's happening this week,

I'll just run you through the results from the semi-finals because

actual tennis was played and then we'll get on to the meaty Nostasi-based drama which I'm sure most

of you have heard about we will be running through all the facts of that as well,

for any of you that aren't up to speed with it all but first and foremost we should probably give

some credit to the United States and to Belarus who will meet in the final because they got there

despite my predictions that neither of them would. Yeah but very good point to bring up

immediately is that I did actually predict that the United States would beat the Chancra public

and so Catherine? None of us thought the Belarus were going to beat Switzerland though.

First things first though I did get that right didn't I? Yes you did. Excellent. Yeah no good.

Feel a fool. Three two four United States brilliant performances from Coco Van der Waist.

She won all three of the rubber she played in. Could be a good kickstart for her,

isn't it? Could she? She's waned a bit since the Australian Open. Yeah we know it's there.

Belarus great to see Victoria Azarenka there in a supporting capacity and she may be back for the final.
