U.S. stocks rallied today with technology shares leading the gains as comments from the White

House eased fears of a renewed trade war with China.

The NASDAQ was up 2.2%, the S&P 500 was up 1.6%, and the Dow was up 1.3%. Elsewhere, the dollar

strengthened, while oil futures also rose. Both gold and silver prices set new records. Among

individual companies, shares of Broadcom rose 10% after the chip designer struck a multi-billion

dollar deal with Open AI. The stock of MP materials rallied 21% after China tightened export

controls on rare earth metals. Shares of both Warner Brothers Discovery and Paramount Skydance

rose after the chief executive officer of Paramount made a play

to buy Warner before the media conglomerate splits. The stock of Jeffries rose 6% after the firm

reassured investors its exposure to first brand's bankruptcy was limited to $45 million. Fasinall's

stock dropped 8% after the hardware distributors' quarterly income missed

expectations amid a building industry slowdown. And shares of Beyond Meat plunged almost 49%

after the plant-based meat company said it would issue more than 300 million new shares as part of a
