Summary

Relationship coach Jillian Turecki joins Dr. Will Cole for a powerful conversation on what it really takes to build and sustain love. Together they explore the difference between accountability and blame, why unresolved childhood wounds often play out in adult relationships, and how interdependence - not codependency - is the key to healthy connection. They also discuss the rise of loneliness, the role of social media and AI “relationships,” and the impact of unhealed patterns on both mental and physical health. If you’ve ever wondered how to break cycles in love and create relationships that last, this episode is for you. For all links mentioned in this episode, visit www.drwillcole.com/podcast

And one of my favorite parts of my job, without a doubt, is figuring out what are the pieces to people's health puzzles. I've seen just about

0:41.3

everything when it comes to people doing all the things within wellness, within medicine.

0:47.6

They're going to all the best doctors. They're doing what the doctor's telling them to do,

0:50.7

both conventional and alternative and integrative, they are most of the time

0:55.5

better off than they would be if they weren't doing those things, but they're not where they

1:00.9

need to be. Their labs are not looking optimal, and they're spinning the wheels. They're stuck at this

1:06.6

plateau. People with hormone imbalances, people with autoimmune problems, digestive problems,

1:12.1

fertility issues, mental health issues, energy problems, inflammatory problems. Those are my people.

1:19.4

Man, it never gets old. 16 plus years doing this, it never gets old. Like really doing right by them

1:26.9

and giving them the thoughtfulness and the care

1:29.7

and their due diligence that they need and they deserve. It is such an awesome thing, man.

1:35.4

It never gets old. And a functional medicine perspective on human health, on diagnostics,

1:41.9

on labs really is that unique perspective, really fills in the

1:46.4

gaps of why people fall through the cracks of conventional mainstream medicine. There's a lot of

1:51.7

people that are alive because of advancements in medicine. I'm not anti-mainstream medicine. For the

1:57.9

people that aren't where they need to be, like let's do right by them.

2:02.0

And looking at things like underlying gut problems, chronic infections, environmental toxins,

2:07.1

nutrient deficiencies, all of these things that aren't looked at. And let alone the mental,

2:11.6

emotional, spiritual things, like the implication of chronic stress, unresolved trauma, and how
