In the early morning hours of November 1, 2004, Lauren Meanza, Leslie Mazzara and Adriane Insogna were sleeping in their Napa, CA home. Lauren would be woken by the sounds of a struggle and her roommate’s screams.
When she climbed the stairs, she found a horrific scene, Leslie and Adriane brutally murdered.
Over the next year, Napa police, who hadn’t seen a homicide in 3 years, would interview 1300 people and take 218 DNA samples but would make no arrests; until they caught a break, the murderer would turn himself in.
Tonight, we will take you through the double homicide that rocked wine country, the investigation and conviction of the man responsible for taking the lives of two promising young women and his surprising connection to them.
