Naomi Kupitsky is the author of the family, which by the way, it was so good. I listened to this

on audiobook and it was, she's just amazing. Anyway, Naomi was born in Berkeley, California and

attended NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She lives in San Francisco, but calls many places home. The family is her first novel. Welcome, Naomi. Thank you so much for coming on Moms Don't Have Time to Read Books to Discuss the Family. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so happy to be here. Yay. You said you've had a month off from doing events. I feel like there was this huge media storm around your book and everything getting it chosen and by major book club. It's been amazing for you. So what is it like now that you've come off the ride for a second?

Yeah. I mean, it was it was a month unlike any month that I have

experienced in my life, the month of November. I, you know, I simultaneously was navigating

just feeling like so grateful that the book is getting this audience, like the exposure that I'm

getting the exposure that the book is getting is really rare and I felt really

lucky. And at the same time, it felt super unnatural for me to be in the public eye in that way so

suddenly. So I feel a lot more like myself now. If we had talked a few weeks ago, you would have

gotten this like shell of a person and now I feel more like a human being. But it's, yeah, it's been really wild and

really exciting. Maybe this is what I should do. I should just always schedule my interviews like

a month or two or three. Actually, I have been doing that not on purpose, but yeah, then I get the-
