Today on the program, Nancy Pearl. So Nancy Pearl is a celebrity librarian based in Seattle.

Nancy Pearl went from being Tulsa's librarian to Seattle's librarian, and now she is America's

librarian ever since she came out with a line of best-selling books called Book Lust. She regularly

talks books on NPR's Morning Edition

and NPR affiliate stations in Seattle and Tulsa.

Nancy Pearl is the 50th winner of the Women's National Book Association Award.

She was named 2011 Librarian of the Year by Library Journal,

and she speaks around the country often to huge crowds, standing room only.

But accolades aside, you know you've really made it as a celebrity librarian when you've
