It's Sunday, February 22nd. We are going to do a day 22 update in the Nancy Guthrie case talking about what we've

learned over the last day. Sheriff Nanos gave an interview to NBC Nightly News on Friday. He said as far as

identifying more of the clothing seen on the suspect

in that surveillance video from Nancy's front porch, he said, I think we're getting a little closer

to identifying some of the other articles, not just that backpack, like the shoes, the pants,

the shirt, or jacket. We are 22 days into her disappearance,

and we still haven't identified anything other than the backpack.

Feels like we are spinning our wheels in this case.

So all we can do is hope in the background something major is happening.

The sheriff also said they're not looking

into any new names. And he also said in terms of leads and working and getting out there, I think

that's still growing. Yeah. We're not quitting. We will find her. They're also asking neighbors to

look at their home surveillance from January 1st through February 2nd. Another thing Sheriff

Nano said is that there is an issue with the DNA recovered from inside Nancy's home.

That DNA is a mixture of more than one person, and he says their lab down in Florida tells

them there are challenges with it. Then he says the technology is moving so fast and in such a frenzy that they think

some of this stuff will resolve itself in just a matter of weeks, months, or maybe a year.

So that doesn't sound too promising either.

But let's look at how does a mixture of two or more DNA profiles in a single sample

complicate things for the lab.
