At Thursday's press conference, Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos denied reports of forced entry,

denied that cameras were smashed or destroyed, and called media reports naming potential suspects reckless.

Standing next to him, FBI, Sack, Heath, Janke, delivered a different kind of message,

announcing a reward, detailing ransom note contents, and warning impostors that they would

be prosecuted, as we're already seeing.

Meanwhile, investigators returned to Nancy Guthrie's home just the other day, a day after

the sheriff said,

processing was complete with K9 units, evidence bags, and agents from multiple federal agencies.

Jennifer Coffendaffer retired FBI special agent is with us to help continue to break this down.

What could they have missed in the initial investigation when it was just

the local sheriff's department to the FBI going in? Are we talking dramatic differences here

in terms of what is likely being gleaned off of the scene? We're talking dramatic differences.

And I say that I was assigned to 15, for 15 years, I should say, to local authorities.

And they are great, by the way, my best years.

I loved working with them.

But they have very different protocols than we have.

So as an example, I saw a complete grid search being done outside of that house again.

You know, that's walking, you know, steps apart from one another, looking and making sure nothing is in your grid.

Then we saw hours of investigation inside the home.

So while it should be exactly the same, it's not, I just, look,

evidence response teams for the FBI, that is what they do. That's what they do day in and day
