Good morning and thanks for joining me for Rise in Crime. Your morning caffeine hit All About Crime. I'm Mama Jules and let's start today's podcast with a question. Are you shy or not shy?

That was creepy, right? Now imagine a respected coach asking a male teen athlete that

question as the coach is requiring them to take off their clothes for testing. It absolutely

happened hundreds of times. And now Aaron Thomas has faced a jury of his peers and what has become known as the

naked fat test trial. So who's Aaron Thomas? Aaron began his interaction with athletes and

students at North Kingstown High School in Rhode Island, clear back in 1989. At first, he was just a

substitute teacher. Then he began helping as an assistant football coach. At first, he was just a substitute teacher.

Then he began helping as an assistant football coach.

Pretty quickly, he transitioned into the basketball program

when an opening became available.

And for about 24 years, clear up until 2021,

Aaron was the head basketball coach.

And he was successful.

He had winning seasons and community support.

He also began working as a full-time teacher in the communications department.
