Strickland, and he's the scholar, Dr. Michael Heizer, hey Mike, how's the conference going?

No, pretty good, you know, I've been to a bunch of papers more than usual and I think,

you know, I'd say like 85% of them have been pretty good, you know, pretty interesting

couple that I, you know, that weren't really what I thought they would be, but that's

okay, that's kind of normal too.

Anything that stands out?

Yeah, I had sort of an interesting, on the first day, I had kind of an interesting experience.

I went to a paper, people may or may not know or may not recall that during this week,

there are a whole bunch of societies that meet concurrently.

So like the big one is the Evangelical Theological Society and then that ends on Friday and then

there's something called IBR which meets Friday and Saturday and then the first day, full

day of Saturday is SBL, Society of Biblical Literature and they meet with the American Academy

Religion.

Those are the big ones and the American Schools of Oriental Research does, that's the

archaeology crowd.

So those are the big ones, but they're like dozens of smaller societies and one of these

is the Evangelical Philosophical Society and so you get philosophers in there, people who
