Hey, we're not in the same studio today, but Noreen and I are watching you on the cover of the New Yorker. Oh, you are? What am I doing on the cover of the New Yorker? You're looking in the mirror and talking. I have an ambivalent relationship with that cover of the New Yorker because Chris Ware, who I absolutely adore, who's the cartoonist, said, you know, I'm not going to meet you. It's not going to look anything like you. My daughter, for example, has blonde hair, and I never have worn that

shade of lipstick nor a blue flowered shirt in my whole life. But he, you know, so I look at it. I saw a bunch

of people reading it on the metro. And I thought, is that me? Is that not me? Do I feel like a little frisson of thrill? Or do I not identify with it at all? I'm confused. My voice is obviously my voice in the animation. That is me. But the picture confuses me when I look at it. The picture, I didn't recognize it. I got my New Yorker and I didn't realize that you were involved with it. It doesn't look anything like you. But wait, should we explain what the project was quickly?
