If you're like many of us who know we spend too much time on social media and you want to stop, I have new information from a study that may help you break your addiction.

I wish you had come up with this information last night before I spent an hour and a half on the couch scrolling through TikTok.

It's your fault rock. Oh, I know. It's a time sucker. Yeah, Betty started like our TikTok stuff. And so I have all of her parameters like the same log in. So every cat video that she watches shows up on my feed and I just love them. So like I just cannot get enough of those.

Well, here's what's going to happen. According to a new study, the reason we find ourselves scrolling and posting is because we're a lot like dogs.

So for instance, when you're able to get your dog to do a trick like rolling over or shaking your hand or whatever for a treat, it's the same thing.

The likes are our reward as the treats are to a dog. And it could even get very Pavlovian. Here's some science for behavioral science, Dr. Skinner, Bee of Skin or whatever.

I just know things. So the Pavlovian response is like the dog they could watch it salivate when it would just see food. And what happens with us is that you could even just start mentioning social media.

And we have a Pavlovian response in that we all of a sudden either get stressed or anxious or excited. Like it's crazy how that works.

Yeah. And there is proof. Researchers noticed that when someone posts something and they get a lot of likes, it's like they want to chase this high.

Let me start posting more. But the thing is is they did notice that once they started posting more, of course, one of some of those posts are going to bomb.

Right. And when that happens, people don't post that.

You tank, though, too, because it's a law of diminishing returns.

You have a bunch of different posts that are great. And then it becomes not as good and you've got to get more. It's like a high. You're absolutely right.

Man, that's crazy. We are just like dogs. Well, to that, I say, good girl, buddy rock. You did great.

Way of M. This is the walling show. And I wish I had the mind of a meamer like people that take funny photos.

And then they put a quick caption to them and it sails all around the internet a meme. I'm not really good at it.

So when I see them, I love them. So okay, like I found one the other day that was a picture of Mars.

Because there's been a lot of talk of Mars because we landed there with our space robers and you know, all of our robots.
