the Spanish-Chinese diplomat and pilot Nadine Huang. Before we begin, I'd like to acknowledge the Bonarong-Wunurang people at the traditional

and present. They're the custodians of an oral history tradition far older than this

and check out our other content. A quick note before we get started talking about Nadine's life, obviously, as usual,

a note about sources.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the documentary Nellie and Nadine, which was made

by the Swedish director, Magnus Gerton, in 2022.

So Nellie was Nadine's life partner who will meet during this episode, and the documentary

focuses on the journey of

Nellie's granddaughter Sylvie Bianchi as she uncovers her grandmother's love story with

Nadine. Without this documentary, the story of Nadeen and Nellie would not have come to light,

and while I've also consulted some other primary sources, this documentary is the main source,

at least in English, that provides information about Nadine. So there's no published biography or anything like that.
