0:23.2	who are tuning in. Many of you may be tuning in because you see the name N.T. Wright, Tom Wright.
0:28.2	Dr. Wright, he is very controversial in some of his views and also very widespread and very well
0:35.1	known and respected among New Testament scholars.
0:39.1	He is not primarily a systematic theologian. He is primarily a biblical exigy.
0:45.1	He is very well known for walking through the text of Scripture and drawing conclusions based upon
0:50.3	what he believes the text is saying in the context of first century Judaism.
0:57.2	And I respect him a lot.
0:59.8	I don't agree with everything he says.
1:02.1	I don't understand everything he says to be quite frank about it.
1:06.2	And he's got a lot of good resources.
1:08.8	He's got a lot of good insights.
1:12.8	The truth of the matter is,
1:18.6	there's no scholar that I've ever read that I agree with 100% of the time, and there rarely is for any biblical exegiate. I mean, anyone who is around these kinds of studies for any length of
1:25.4	time are always going to run into good brothers and sisters and the Lord who differ with you on these issues and a part of
1:33.8	Christian maturity is learning to look past some of those differences in order to learn from
1:38.0	each other and allow the iron to sharpen iron so to speak when it comes to theology and
1:43.7	growing deeper in the faith.
1:45.8	What I think is unfortunate is if somebody happens to disagree with you over one particular
1:51.9	theological point that that person somehow doesn't have anything else to offer to you in any
1:56.9	other realm of theology or scriptural studies.
