On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan talks about his love affair with hunting staging areas and the strategy his implements when hunting them. First off he breaks down what defines a staging area, how the deer use it, and what kind of sign is usually left behind that will help identify these areas. He talks about the usual suspects like terrain features, edge, vegetation, and their relationship to a given food source. Lastly, he talks about how, in his experience, staging areas can be hunted in both mornings and afternoons given a rock solid access route and of course the right wind direction.
